Mind related symptoms and coping tips

From the materials in this website you have already learnt that psychosocial problems may have four types of effects on people: body related, mind related, behavioral and relationships related.

If you often feel very worried, anxious, scared, are easily irritable and angry, often have negative thoughts and low self-esteem – these can be the signs of mind related psychosocial problems.

Here is what you can try to feel better:

  • Talk to a close and reliable person.
  • Make sure you have a regular daily routine - eat at regular times and get a good night's sleep.
  • Try to relax by taking walks, doing yoga or meditating regularly.
  • Try various tips and tools on our website, including the audio-visual materials on deep breathing, anger management, positive self-talk and techniques that will enhance your self-esteem.

If these coping methods do not help you and your daily life becomes increasingly difficult, please seek professional help from a psychosocial counselor, psychologist or psychiatrist.
